55 FLASH FICTION

THE DILEMMA

What shall I wear, give me a clue.
Do you prefer the pink or the blue?
Now be honest, does my bum look big in this?

Casual or smart, tell me do?
Evening or cocktail wear?
Say something will you!

"My darling I'm fearful to comment
If I say I love you, do I elude".

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Its a little bit like that in my home, on an evening out.
I want one of the mirrors that they have in the shops where I purchased the clothes, I always look 20lbs lighter, and three inch taller.
I have pushed Math off his lap-top so that I can do a Friday 55 Flash Fiction.
He's not very happy about it so, short and sweet.
Wishing everyone a great weekend............
NO IT DIDN'T
I spent an age doing a post yesterday, about my very damp Bank Holiday at the coast. It included little witticisms about how I started to become worried about the torrential downpour, when the animals started walking by my window two by two. What a surprise it was when my son and his girlfriend turn up unexpectedly on the Saturday, and how this had changed the original concept of a vegged out bank holiday with Math.
I assume everyone now has the message 'blogger now saves your drafts automatically'. So imagine the horror, that whilst 'tickling' my post up, ie incorporating some bold lettering. I pressed Ctrl & B and the whole of my post disappeared, sorry I tell a lie I had a single solitary 'S' left within my post.
Well I had a right strop to say the least, hate to admit it but I acted like a three year old who'd had their sweeties taken away.
Therefore I can't be bothered to go into the lengthy details again.
Nevertheless, Math has taken a days holiday tomorrow, so we are leaving for the coast this evening until Sunday evening. We feel that we need to get away when we can, knowing I'm soon to be called into hospital.
At this moment in in time we have thunder and lightning here, so I feel sure it will be much the same sort of weather at the coast.
So you have not escaped the boring trivialities of a damp weekend away at the coast, it will just be this weekend and not the last one.
Have a wonderful weekend, and take care of yourself and others.
